AA Test & Drive

The Automobile Association introduced an innovative service called Test & Drive to help people just like you to make informed decisions about buying a car, or selling a car. AA Test & Drive provides quality assurance services to the motor vehicle market by providing 3 main services:

• Roadworthy Testing
• Multi Point Check
• Technical Examination

We can help take the risk out of buying a used vehicle (second hand car) with products such as:

Roadworthy

A roadworthy test is needed by law every time a vehicle changes ownership. The test procedure makes sure that a vehicle meets certain defined safety standards. The AA brand is recognized as being honest, has integrity and looks after the interests of the consumer. The Roadworthy test takes 20 minutes (circumstances may affect the accuracy of these estimates).

Multi-point check

You need a 40-Point Check to learn more about the overall condition of the vehicle. It involves the 40 points of the vehicle being checked as well as the Roadworthy Test. The test takes about 35 minutes (circumstances may affect the accuracy of these estimates.)

Technical Examination

The check involves an evaluation of the engine and an assessment of the performance of the electrical systems as well as an inspection of all accessible parts/components, bumper to bumper. The technical examination will only take about an hour and a half. The Technical procedure should take place pre-purchase, post-purchase, post accident, and Sell or keep.
